I’m Fiona Pennisi Mitchell, a Brisbane-based Australian creative practitioner: composer, textile artist, photographer, author, educator and musician.
My practice is strongly driven by outward creative expression across writing, textiles, music and photography. These disciplines are not separate for me, but interconnected ways of exploring perception, memory and experience.
My works examine how meaning shifts across different sensory forms, and how creative processes can reveal what is often quiet, fragmented or difficult to articulate.
Much of my practice is shaped by natural environments, where time feels slowed and attention becomes more focused. These spaces influence both the tone and rhythm of my work.
Across all mediums, I am drawn to subtlety, impermanence and the relationship between internal experience and the external world.
This website is an evolving archive of my creative work across multiple disciplines, including music, writing, photography and textile practices.
