There are six sections (A-F) in Svadhisthana (scored for brass trio – trumpet, trombone and tuba) to reflect the lotus petals connected with this chakra. Various sixth and second intervals are employed throughout the piece, corresponding to the lotus petals and chakra number respectively. Strength and grace are musically represented as shown in the examples below:

Musical representation of strength, trombone bars 18-25, Svadhisthana.

Musical representation of grace, trumpet bars 25-32, Svadhisthana.
Water is portrayed in Svadhisthana via a ‘bubbling’ gesture, representative of a bubbling brook, performed by the trumpet throughout sections B and E, as illustrated:

“Bubbling’ water gesture, trumpet bars 8-13, Svadhisthana.
As this chakra is the body’s centre of balance, symmetry was created primarily through the form of the piece, which may be summarised as in the table below:
| Section | A | B | C | D | E | F |
| Description | Introduction | Water gesture | Strength gesture | Grace gesture | Water gesture | Conclusion |
The associated pitches of D and G# were employed as drone material, whilst being distributed so as to create mirror image (D continues throughout, while G# is present in sections C and D).
